The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, the name most of us know it by, has a very interesting history. You really should look it up, it’s fascinating stuff dating all the way back to 1886 when it was called the Revenue Laboratory. What I want to talk about, briefly, is the fact that 14 years ago George W. Bush signed into law the Homeland Security Act which shifted the ATF from the treasury department to the Department of Justice, and subsequently changed its name to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. This change of course now makes it coolest named bureau on the planet.

And i have been waiting patiently for my concealed weapons permit that's been processed since february 11th, 2016. Still have until may 11th which would make it exactly 12 weeks. Really hoping i can get it before the 30th of April before i set sail on a 1 week journey ( places unknown) ;)
