Holy crap, I can edit text in the iPhone!

If you are anything like me, and I pray that you are not, you can be profoundly frustrated with the smallest quirks of technology interfaces. But today I have broken down one of the massive walls that has prevented me from publishing untold numbers of posts due to my inability to selectively tap on some previously written text and correct it. I apologize if you already know this, but if you go to the numbers on your iPhone keyboard and hold down just about any key you will have a curser bar that you can move to any point in your text. Completely unlike the annoying tapping on a location and having entire words or sentences highlighted.

ATF

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, the name most of us know it by, has a very interesting history. You really should look it up, it’s fascinating stuff dating all the way back to 1886 when it was called the Revenue Laboratory. What I want to talk about, briefly, is the fact that 14 years ago George W. Bush signed into law the Homeland Security Act which shifted the ATF from the treasury department to the Department of Justice, and subsequently changed its name to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. This change of course now makes it coolest named bureau on the planet.
